How to change your Hotmail password?

You want to change your Hotmail password because of some security-related reasons or simply use your preferred password? The following tutorials will help you to change your password in the fastest way.

  1. Go directly to http://account.live.com/password/change and enter your current password.

Or if you cannot remember this link, click on the round on the top right-hand corner. Then select “Edit Profile” and click on “Security” and then choose “CHANGE PASSWORD”.

If a security code is required, click on Send Code and enter the code that is sent to your email address or phone number.

  2. Type your current password into the top box and your new password into the middle box and don’t forget to reenter it into the box at the bottom of the window.

Note: If you want to change your password regularly, check "Make me change my password every 72 days."

  3. Click Save to save your new password.

Now you have successfully changed your Hotmail password.
