How to recover Hotmail account hacked?

----> If you could access your Hotmail account:

You need to change your password

Step 1: Log in your Hotmail (outlook) account. Click on your profile picture in the right corner of the mailbox. Click "View account".

Step 2: Click "Change password".

Note: You will be required to verify your identity if you are using another web Brower that you did not normally use. Microsoft will send a verification code to your alternate email.

Enter your code and click “Submit”.

Step 3: Enter your old password and new reset password. You need to type your new password twice to confirm it. Your password must be strong enough, having at least eight characters and containing all of these following: uppercase letters, lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Click "Next".

----> If you cannot log in your Hotmail account.

 You need to reset your password immediately.

• Firstly, go to www.hotmail.com (outlook), click on "Forgot my password", as described in the below picture:

• Then, answer the question: "Why can't you sign in? " by checking the box "I forgot my password " and click "Next".

• Enter your Hotmail ID and the verification code that is presented to you. Click "Next".

• You need to verify your identity using one of the three methods below:

1. If you want to get a verification code via email, click on “Email *******@gmail.com", entering your alternate email address and choose "Next".
2. If you want to get a verification code via SMS, click on "Text *****", entering your mobile number and choose "Next".
3. If you want to get a verification code via a phone call, click on "Call ****" and then "Next"
4. If you choose “I don’t have any of these”.

   It is the left option if you cannot do one of these above options. In this case, you will be asked several questions related to your email account, such as “Phone number”, “Alternate email address”... You need to answer them correctly.

   Notice: Mobile number and alternate email address are your personal information in “Help us protect your info" that you provided when registering your Hotmail account.

• You will receive a verification code within a moment. Enter the code into “Next".

• Enter a new password; it should be strong, having at least eight characters and containing the following upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols. Then click "Next".

• Finally, you could log in your Hotmail account with the new password.
